Presentation: Go Mobile on WordPress

Which approach is right for you? This session explores different methods to deliver a mobile version of your WordPress-based website.

What attracted you to WordPress in the first place?

WordPress is powerful, extensible, flexible, and extremely easy-to-use. This combination of attributes makes it the leading CMS/publishing software for websites.

What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Toronto?

Meeting with attendees and other speakers and discovering their interest and passion around WordPress and what they do with it. It’s always a real boost to hear from people within the community and learn about the awesome things they’re doing.

Why did you decide to speak at WordCamp Toronto?

Having spoken at it last-year, I received a lot of great feedback on my talk, and realized that (speaking about mobile + WordPress) is a topic that everyone wants to hear about and learn about— and my experience working with mobile and WordPress over the past 5 years offers insights that provide attendees with knowledge from experience that they can’t get elsewhere.

What is your favourite WordPress plugin or theme, and why?

Plugin (that’s not one of ours): Gravity Forms. Paid plugin only, but easily hands down the best forms plugin out there. It makes creating forms for using on WordPress site actually *fun*. A tall order!!

Theme: Modernize. A really nicely done WordPress theme, suitable for individuals or businesses. There’s lots of great themes out there now for WordPress, but the polish on this one is pretty outstanding.
